As per Indian scriptures ‘Aum’ is a combination of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva.

Esoteric Buddhists place Om at the beginning of their Vidya-Sadaksari ("Om manipadme hum") as well in as most other mantras.
